Christmas Puppy Training

December 25th, 2009 · No Comments

For a puppy trainer, any time there is a gathering and you have a puppy in training, it is a great time to get the puppy out and evaluate the reactions.  Brena, 4 months old, was brought in to the family gathering to see just what she would do with all the people and grandchildren.  She was put on a flex lead so there would be some control if needed.  Brena totally amazed me not wanting to jump on the children, almost recognizing they were babies too.  I just love GSD’s with that temperament.  Brena did so well, she was released shortly after proving her calmness and was just loose with the family and children.  Video Clip

PUPPY TRAINING KENTUCKY SOCIALIZATION

December 21st, 2009 · No Comments

Brena just turned 4 months old.  She continues to go to training and is around group training for socialization.  Brena is doing well with house training, she will go to the door, but if it doesn’t open in time, well we all know what happens next.   Is she potty trained?  Well to the best of her ability at this time, but it will really be a couple more months till she is able to reduce the number of times she needs out during the day.  She does great at night and has for a while.

Group training allows Brena to see other people and dogs in a group setting.  She is still all puppy but is getting better about being out and about.  I travel with Brena often on my short trips to places.  Brena travels well because of this and actually had her first uncrated ride in the car.

After the holidays, I will start taking Brena to other places and will start visiting the schutzhund clubs.  I am considering keeping and training Brena that is how much I like her, but will have her conformation evaluated  by people better at judging those areas than myself.  Her bold color alone makes her stand out to me.  These visits will also help in socialization and will allow her to be handled by some new people, which all puppies need.

PROTECTION EVALUATION GERMAN SHEPHERD PUPPY

November 16th, 2009 · No Comments

Brena is being raised and trained until she is sold.  Brena turned 13 weeks old today.  At 11 1/2 weeks old I took Brena to be evaluated by my trainer for schutzhund protection training.  Brena was being held in this video by a person she really didn’t know either.  I was doing the video for this clip at the time of the evaluation.  I was very pleased as to how Brena did… some of the things David mentioned after seeing the video of her as well as while I was there were things such as:  ” Shows no sensitivity to loud noises.  Good/Calm/Firm Grip.  Shows Excellent Possession of object.  No sensitivity to environmental influence.  Sure grip under distraction and handling.”  View the video here

Brena seems to be very balance in all her instincts… I am very pleased and was pleased with the full litter.

Puppy Training Schutzhund Protection

September 13th, 2009 · No Comments

LT met a helper for the first time last week.  She was almost 12 weeks old.  LT plays with her Schutzhund bite work with me and her toys, so I am always anxious to see just how a puppy will react to someone new and someone else even holding the leash.  LT did great!Everything is a jump to LT so I did a couple slow motion clips of her jumping. Enjoy both videos. Training continues. I did not do video of LT’s puppy training, she does sit up, roll over, shake hands, comes, downs and comes into the finish position. I am currently working with LT out side for toy rewards.. LT is also retrieving I will soon add video of all she does.

German Shepherd Puppy Show Line for sale(VA Ingodds Albert daughter)

August 5th, 2009 · No Comments

Izzy is a great show line German Shepherd puppy.  She has a real love to work in all areas.  She could care less who the helper is in her bite work play… she just loves to play tug with anyone.  Izzy will also be a great tracker, from the first time she tracked, there was no telling this pup to keep her nose down… it was all automatic.  In the last video I did with Izzy of her tracking, I laid a small Schutzhund 1 track, she does turns very nice, in this video this was the first time Izzy brought her head up, but there was a movement in the grass of some critter that distracted her, and as you see, 1 more verbal command to track… she was back on it herself… which even impressed me.  Izzy had a natural retrieve with a ball from the very first time I got the ball out, therefore it was the item used for teaching her new things.

Izzy has a awesome pedigree, with a SCH 2 titled mother, and VA Ingodds Albert as her father.  She also has her fathers dark red color, so is a real beauty.  Izzy is for sale to the right home only.  The video link below has all of her videos, in all areas of her puppy foundation training.

If you are interested in Izzy and want to know more of her training, feel free to contact me, or contact her owner/breeder Tammy Molner   http://cbk9.com, as Izzy has been returned home.

German Shepherd Puppy 4 Sale (sire: VA Ingodds Albert)

July 28th, 2009 · No Comments

No matter where you live, New York, Washington DC, California, Arizona, Virginia, or Florida, Izzy is one German Shepherd puppy that shows her tallents, and worth looking at by any schutzhund sport person.

Izzy is almost done with her training here with me.  This AKC registered, VA Ingodds Albert sired puppy has it all, her dark red and good structure gives her a great look, plus she has the drive to be titled in the sport of Schutzhund.  Izzy is for sale, once she completes her training.  If you are looking for a show line puppy that is able to be titled look no further, Izzy is your German Shepherd show line puppy.  There is no waiting to see what develops, Izzy was a natural for all areas which she demonstrates in the video I have of her training.  Her tail is wagging the full time she works.  After working with Izzy the last 2 months, I believe Izzy is one puppy, that has the drive and heart to do just about anything.

I am trying to complete my video of her, where she proves in all areas just how she enjoys working.  Any sports minded person, or trainer can see just why the 3 different helpers Izzy worked with in the last 2 months with me, absolutely loved her!!  Video soon to come on her last helper training.

If you are interested in a great show line German Shepherd puppy, with a heart to work, an awesome pedigree, show and breeding prospect.  Feel free to contact me about Izzy.  I do have some video of me working with her in other posts, and will post more video of her when I am finished.

Contact me for information if you are interested in this quality working, show line German Shepherd puppy.

Schutzhund Puppy Protection

July 25th, 2009 · No Comments

Izzy has worked with several different helpers and does great with anyone she works with which tell you she is just into anyone that will play this game.  I had taken Izzy to Greater Cincinatti Schutzhund club to do some work with them last weekend and she did great and I had ask permission to video her.   The lighting was bad, they actually turned the lights on at the field after we were done, but I was able to still see the video.

Izzy shows working drive for this great showline VA Ingodds Albert daughter.  She actually is a natural in all she does.  Izzy continues to impress people no matter where she goes to work, it is all playtime for her!

Schutzhund Puppy BH Training Sit in Motion

July 20th, 2009 · No Comments

Izzy is getting close to completeing her training.  She was in an 8 week program designed to give her a head start in schutzhund.  Video has been uploaded on my youtube site.  I had been working Izzy on the sit in motion, and in this video it was the very first time to attempt a down in motion… as you can see I stopped putting her down… she did stay however got back up upon my return, before giving her the ball I made her down again… then threw the ball for her… we will now continue work on down-in-motion, and hopfully she will have both before completing the program.

Izzy was also taught the jump and retrieve… she learned it 2 weeks prior to this video…  on the second jump.  This was a refresher 2 weeks later… Izzy has only done this routine a total of 6 times.. 3 teaching and 3 times 2 weeks later for refresher.  Her training on this is complete… she will not do this move here again.

SCHUTZHUND PUPPY JUMP AND RETRIEVE

July 12th, 2009 · No Comments

Observing the puppy while we play, is what tells me just what I can try to teach, and gives me confidence in how I communicate to this particular pup what I want the pup to achieve.  So I feel the playtime I do with my pups is what makes teaching them something new appear to look and seem so simple, as in this clip, the very first time I am communicating to Izzy just what I want her to do.  Izzy had never seen a jump before, yet I have confidence from our playtime in just how to teach Izzy, as you can see in this unedited 1st time to teach Izzy a jump and retrieve Notice just how fast I am able to communicated to Izzy, just what I want her to do.
