Many breeders often send their dogs to Germany to be schutzhund titled.  The cost of titling a dog to Sch 1 is getting more expensive.  Many pay anywhere from five to seven thousand for this to be done.  The interesting thing about getting your dog back from Germany, is that most owners can’t  title their dog further, and sometimes you wonder how the dog even got titled to begin with.

I believe my foundation training of a very young puppy, in obedience, tracking, and protection play will make a pup easy for the owner to title the dog in schutzhund themselves, cutting down the amount of training that will be needed, not to mention the money saved.  I believe a pup with foundation training will already have an understanding of what they will be training for to attain the Schutzhund Title.  This puppy training is all done with positive reinforcement.  We are testing this for the first time with a breeder.  The breeder/trainer will be the one to see the difference immediately upon getting the pup back.  Should the breeder owner choose not to keep the pup, then she will be selling a highly trained puppy.

Many wonder why an owner/breeder would not do this themselves, the reason is time.  This training I do, takes many hours of just living with and focusing time on just one pup.  Many just don’t have this kind of time, as they work several dogs.
